England's Head Coach Thomas Tuchel asserted that he has "no conflict" with Phil Foden following the trio were left out the Three Lions team for upcoming fixtures against Wales and Latvia.

The midfielder did not earn a recall despite recovering from a shoulder injury, while Foden and Grealish also miss out despite displaying a return to form with their clubs.

The German manager revealed that the 22-year-old wanted to be part of the squad, after a conversation with him on the phone.

"He is a unique talent, and for exceptional talents there can often be special rules," the coach said about Bellingham, who's only started once since coming back to full health.

"However we decided to stick with the straightforward choice of calling up the identical squad.

"Jude always deserves to be here. There is the factor that he has not fully regained his optimal form again at Real Madrid - he has not completed a full match.

"He expressed a desire to be called up. We had a telephone conversation."

Tuchel was keen to emphasize his positive relationship with Bellingham following he apologized to him previously for describing his conduct during a match as "disgusting" in a live interview.

Tuchel stated that he uttered those terms "unintentionally" and promised to be more careful going forward.

When asked if he had a problem with Bellingham, Tuchel responded: "No. There is also no problem with Phil Foden or Jack Grealish.

"Phil is back to impacting and shaping games for Manchester City. Grealish is almost to returning to the top form of himself.

"There exists no personal issue."

Bukayo Saka replacing the injured Madueke is the only change to last month's team, with Loftus-Cheek and Jarell Quansah keeping their spots after being last-minute call-ups previously due to injury.

England play Wales in a friendly at Wembley Stadium on Thursday before a World Cup qualifier in Riga on October 14.

If England triumph in the away fixture, they will need a maximum of two points from their final two qualifiers - against Albania and Serbia in November - to earn a spot in next summer's World Cup in North America.

Impressive Display Under the Manager

The Three Lions produced their best display by some distance under the manager's guidance when they beat Serbia five-nil away in Belgrade in their previous match.

Tuchel says that showing made it an easy decision to stick with largely the identical group, though "there exist absolutely no guarantees" for any player regarding being picked.

"The last camp was only three and a half weeks ago and the teamwork and morale was at its peak. That is why we chose to invite the same group to this camp," he commented.

"Foden is in a very good moment. Adam Wharton merits to be with us. Curtis Jones and Trevoh Chalobah are earning playing time with their clubs.

"We have players who deserve to be here. Cole Palmer is injured and is a key talent. It will always be like this.

"Is our team a better team with Bellingham? Yes. But I mentioned before, what do we do if he is injured before the tournament? Do we just cancel?"

Tuchel's Media Briefing Gets Noticed

The England manager once more delivered a box office news conference.

He, a master of handling his relationship with the press, began with an initial remarks to set out his thinking for his decisions.

The midfielder is fit and available and wanted to come to camp, but the coach has said he did not want to alter the squad significantly after a statement five-goal win over their opponents - where the manager said team spirit was at an all-time high.

But with Tuchel not selecting the star, and his repeated remarks about team spirit, it is hard not to connect the aspects - although he said multiple times how he is "special" and that there is "no problem" between Tuchel and one of the national team's star players.

Tuchel has always made it clear that he wanted to make the England squad feel like a club side and, by keeping the same squad after a statement win, he has achieved that. But the inquiries will arise once more in the following session if the team win well in these upcoming fixtures.
