This January transfer market is always a time of intense rumour and possible big-money moves. A number of prominent players are being linked with moves out of their current teams. Here is a look at some of the key figures who are poised to be on the move this month.

Antoine Semenyo

Although Ghana's failure to reach the Africa Cup of Nations, this has kept the player in contention, reports suggest a major move is close. The Bournemouth attacker possesses a deal with a substantial buy-out clause active for a brief window in early January. Recent developments indicate Manchester City look to have won the race for his signature. Other interested parties such as Chelsea and Tottenham are said to have moved on to other options, potentially opening the door for clubs like Liverpool or Manchester United to make a late move.

M. Guéhi

The English defender has excel for Palace this season a previous transfer to Liverpool collapsing. This highly-touted Dutch midfielder has earned parallels to Kevin De Bruyne for his playing style. Following starring at the U19 Euros, Smit has broken into the AZ side. The 19-year-old is heavily tipped to complete a major move this month. Newcastle are believed to be leading the chase, but are facing stiff competition from the Spanish champions for a deal priced at approximately £22 million.
